Anaferon for children instructions for use for prevention. Anaferon for children in drops - instructions for use

Anaferon for children is an immunomodulating drug used in pediatric practice for the treatment of acute respiratory infections in patients before they reach the age of four. Clinical trials of the drug have confirmed its effectiveness against infections caused by influenza viruses, parainfluenza, HSV-1, HSV-2, chickenpox, monocytic tonsillitis, enterovirus infection, tick-borne encephalitis, rota-, corona-, calice-, adenovirus infection. The creator of the drug is Russian company « Materia Medica Holding", his official date of birth is 2001. Anaferon for children is based on antibodies to interferon gamma obtained using affinity purification technology. The drug has undergone the entire legally established cycle of studies, during which its effectiveness, safety, lack of toxicity and negative impact on immune status. Anaferon for children has a dual mechanism of action: it improves functional characteristics and stimulates the body's production of its own interferons and activates gamma-1 receptors for interferon. Clinical and molecular genetic studies have demonstrated the selectivity of the action of Anaferon for children on the production of interferon. Viruses are natural stimulators of the production of these immune proteins. However, often the level of interferon reproduction and the further course of antiviral reactions turns out to be inadequate to the clinical situation.

In turn, Anaferon for children activates the production of alpha and gamma interferons and increases the efficiency of their interaction with target receptors. As a result, during the period of greatest prevalence of viral infection in the body, larger number active molecules of interferon gamma, which quickly interact with “their” receptors and neutralize the impact of viruses on the body. The effect of the drug on the formation of early and late interferons ensures the effectiveness of pharmacotherapy even if it is not started on time. As viral agents are removed from the body, natural regulatory patterns begin to activate, causing interferon production to decrease. In the absence of the virus, Anaferon for children has virtually no effect on the production of interferons. At the recovery stage, the effect of the drug is expressed in stabilization for more high level properties of cells to produce interferon when a virus invades in case of re-infection. Anaferon for children is not used in patients who have not reached one month old. When using the drug in recommended doses, the development of any side effects is practically excluded. Taking Anaferon for children does not need to be linked to food intake. Cases pharmacological interaction with other drugs has not yet been identified.

Pharmacology

A drug that activates antiviral immunity. With preventive and medicinal use the drug has immunomodulatory and antiviral effect. Experimentally and clinically established effectiveness against influenza viruses (including avian influenza), parainfluenza, viruses herpes simplex Types 1 and 2 (labial herpes, genital herpes), other herpes viruses ( chicken pox, infectious mononucleosis), enteroviruses, virus tick-borne encephalitis, rotavirus, coronavirus, calicivirus, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (PC virus). The drug reduces the concentration of the virus in the affected tissues, affects the system of endogenous interferons and associated cytokines, induces the formation of endogenous “early” interferons (IFN α/β) and interferon gamma (IFNγ).

Stimulates the humoral and cellular immune response. Increases antibody production (including secretory IgA), activates the functions of T-effectors, T-helpers (Tx), normalizes their ratio. Increases the functional reserve of Tx and other cells involved in the immune response. It is an inducer of a mixed Tx1 and Th2 type of immune response: it increases the production of Th1 (IFNγ, IL-2) and Th2 (IL-4, 10) cytokines, normalizes (modulates) the balance of Th1/Th2 activities. Increases the functional activity of phagocytes and natural killer cells (NK cells). Has antimutagenic properties.

Composition and release form children's anaferon

The active substance of anaferon is gamma globulins. They are the ones who force the body to actively produce interferon. Thanks to this principle of action, the condition of a sick child is alleviated or his resistance to various viruses is increased.

As excipients Anaferon contains lactose, aerosil, calcium stearate and MCC.

Anaferon for children is not available in suppositories or syrup, and for both children and adults, the only form of release of the drug is tablets. They taste sweet white, sometimes with a yellowish or grayish tint.

How to take Anaferon for children?

Taking anaferon does not depend on food intake. The tablets are intended for resorption. If the child is still small and cannot do this on his own, the anaferon tablet is dissolved in one tablespoon of boiled water.

The dosage of children's anaferon depends on the desired effect.

Taking anaferon during illness

If it is necessary to quickly relieve the symptoms of an acute viral disease, anaferon is prescribed to children according to the following scheme:

  • the first day, 8 tablets are taken, five of them are drunk every half hour, and the remaining three are drunk during the same day, dividing the time between doses at equal intervals;
  • the following days, the dosage of children's anaferon is one tablet three times a day;
  • after complete relief of the symptoms of the disease, anaferon is taken for one to two weeks, one tablet per day. This is necessary in order to avoid complications that may be caused by the virus.

If, three days after starting to take Anaferon, the symptoms of the disease remain unchanged or worsen, it is imperative to consult a specialist about the advisability of further taking the drug.

Taking anaferon for children for prevention

As a prophylaxis against viral diseases during an epidemic, Anaferon is prescribed one tablet per day for 1 to 3 months.

In case chronic disease caused by the herpes virus, anaferon is taken one tablet per day for the period specified by the specialist. Maximum term daily use of the drug is six months.

At what age do children take Anaferon?

Stimulates the humoral and cellular immune response. Increases the production of antibodies (including secretory IgA), activates the functions of T-effectors, T-helpers (Tx), normalizes their ratio. Increases the functional reserve of Tx and other cells involved in the immune response. It is an inducer of a mixed Th1 and Th2 type of immune response: it increases the production of Th1 (IFN, IL-2) and Th2 (IL-4, 10) cytokines, normalizes (modulates) the balance of Th1/Th2 activities.
