The effect of Lyoton ointment on varicose veins. Lyoton gel - a preparation for external use Lyoton foot cream

Symptoms of varicose veins occur in every third person on the planet. Heaviness and pain in the legs, swelling, spider veins - all these are unpleasant signs of problems with blood circulation and elasticity of the veins.

Among all the means of preventing and combating the symptoms of varicose veins, Lyoton gel (manufactured by the pharmaceutical concern BERLIN-HEMIE) is perhaps the most effective.

According to reviews from patients and doctors, Lyoton is quickly absorbed and has a long-lasting anticoagulant effect.

Briefly about the composition and principle of action of Lyoton gel

The active ingredient of the gel is heparin, which prevents blood thickening and clotting. Thanks to its light gel structure, Lyoton is easy to apply and absorbs almost instantly.

Heparin thins the blood, thereby reducing the load on the veins and blood vessels, resulting in a feeling of lightness in the legs.

With long-term use, Lyoton gel has therapeutic effect to dilated veins, and small spider veins completely disappear.

Lyoton is also prescribed for the treatment of bruises, contusions and sprains, as it relieves blood pressure around injured tissue and accelerates the healing process.

The gel is available in packages of 30, 50 and 100 grams. Approximate cost in pharmacies from 300 to 800 rubles depending on the volume.

To many, the cost of the drug seems too high, especially if there is a need to use the gel constantly. In this case, most often you have to select a more or less suitable analogue.

Fortunately, in Russian pharmacies enough ointments that can be used if necessary replace Lyoton gel, it is only important to choose the right product.

Why pay more - a review of cheap analogues

  • Trombless gel

It is produced in Russia and is an exact substitute for Lyoton gel - this drug contains exactly the same amount of heparin (1000 units).

Accordingly, the indications for use of this drug are the same - soft tissue injuries, varicose veins veins, thrombophlebitis. Trombless quickly and effectively relieves swelling and eliminates the feeling of heaviness in the legs.

Trombless gel is available in packages of 30 and 50 grams. The approximate cost of one package is 200 and 300 rubles, respectively.

  • Heparin ointment

The closest analogue of Lyoton gel. The active substance, as the name suggests, is heparin. Accordingly, the drug is used in cases where there is a need to thin the blood - varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, hemorrhoids, edema, injuries.

In addition to heparin, the ointment contains benzocaine, a mild pain reliever. local action. Accordingly, for injuries this remedy is even better suited than Lyoton.

However, you need to keep in mind that Heparin ointment contains only 100 units of active substance (heparin), while Lyoton gel contains 1000 units, i.e. 10 times more.

This means that in order to achieve a positive therapeutic effect, you will need more ointment than gel.

Heparin ointment is available in 25 gram packages. The approximate cost of one package is 60-80 rubles.

  • Troxerutin gel

Technically not complete analogue Lyoton, because active substance The drug is different - not heparin, but the venotonic troxerutin (flavonoid rutin).

However, the effect of this gel is similar to the effect of Lyoton, so it can be used for varicose and traumatic edema, as well as for thrombophlebitis.

Troxerutin improves the elasticity of the veins, thereby facilitating blood flow and relieving the feeling of heaviness in the legs.

Troxerutin gel is available in 40 gram packages. The approximate cost of one package is 30-90 rubles (depending on the manufacturer).

  • Gepatrombin gel

Quite a good analogue of Lyoton. The active ingredient in this drug is the same - heparin. Accordingly, Gepatrombin is prescribed when venous insufficiency, thrombophlebitis, as well as for the treatment of injuries.

The auxiliary components of this gel - D-panthenol and allantoin - promote rapid regeneration of tissue cells.

Compared to Lyoton, the heparin content in this drug is approximately 3 times less (300 units), i.e. To achieve a similar effect, you need to apply it in more or more often than Lyoton.

Gepatrombin gel is produced in 40 gram packages. The approximate cost of one package is 150-210 rubles.

Memo - instructions for use of Lyoton gel and its analogues

Lyoton gel is a drug for strictly external use. It is applied locally to areas of post-traumatic or hemorrhoidal edema, to spider veins, to areas of enlarged veins.

  1. A small amount of gel (about 2-3 centimeters) light movements rub into the affected area until completely absorbed.
  2. There is no need to wash off the residue.
  3. The procedure must be repeated 2-3 times a day until the symptoms disappear.

Analogues are used according to the same scheme - applied locally. Since Hepatrombin and Heparin ointment have a denser texture, they need to be rubbed in a little longer than Lyoton (about 3-5 minutes), the remnants of these ointments can be removed with a clean napkin.

Gel Trombless and Troxerutin are absorbed as quickly as the original.

Gel Lyoton and its analogues should never be applied to open wounds. Also, analogues (except for Troxerutin) cannot be used for poor blood clotting.

Pharmacodynamics

Heparin sodium is a direct-acting anticoagulant that belongs to the group of medium-sized heparins. Prevents thrombus formation, inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase, and activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood.

When applied externally, it has a local antithrombotic, anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effect, improves blood microcirculation and activates tissue metabolism, as a result of which the processes of hematoma resorption are accelerated, the formation of blood clots is prevented, and tissue swelling is reduced.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied externally, a small amount of heparin penetrates into the systemic circulation without causing systemic action without causing any changes in blood coagulation parameters. Does not penetrate the placental barrier.

Indications for use

    diseases of the superficial veins: varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency and related complications (thrombophlebitis, periphlebitis);

    blunt injuries and soft tissue bruises;

    subcutaneous hematomas, including hematomas after venous surgery, phlebectomy;

    localized infiltrates and swelling of soft tissues.

Contraindications

    hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

    violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of application of the drug (open wounds, ulcerative necrotic lesions);
