Sports festival for children at school. Scenario for a sports festival at school

Every time, preparing for a children's event under open air, the question arises - what can children do to make it interesting and fun for them? To have somewhere to throw out your ebullient, irrepressible energy. Great solution may become a sports relay race under the code name “Fun Starts”.

The competition program, as a rule, includes various competitions, relay races and outdoor games. It is desirable that most of the relay races be different in different groups, but no more than 10-13 tasks in grades 1-3 and no more than 13-18 tasks in grades 4-6 and 7-9.

The following tasks and competitions are traditional:

Presentation of teams by captains (emblem, motto, uniform, greetings for the jury and opponents).
- warm-up (participants guess riddles, answer questions from the area “ Physical culture", "Sports", " Healthy image life").
- captains competition (captains compete in various physical exercise and answer questions about sports).
- competitions “The Strongest”, “The Most Accurate” (usually held in the middle of the competition, so that the participants can relax after the running relay races and cheer for their competition participants)
- “Team Drag” and “Fan Drag” competitions usually complete the “Fun Starts” program.

You can vary the number of commands if desired. Staff them with a suitable number of people. These can be teams made up exclusively of girls or boys, or mixed versions. You can even include adults in teams in equal numbers.

Below we want to list the most famous relay competitions so that you can choose those that you think children will enjoy the most.

Night orienteering

At a distance of 10 meters from the start, a stool is placed and the first participants close their eyes. At the signal, they must walk or run to the stool, walk around it and, returning on command, pass the baton to the next participants, who are already standing blindfolded. And so does the whole team. While moving, the team can help its participants by shouting: “to the right,” “to the left,” “forward,” “backward.” And since all commands are shouting at the same time, the player must make out which calls apply specifically to him. When the last player returns to the starting line, it is “day” for the entire team. For whom the “day” comes earlier, they won.

Cheerful cooks

For this attraction you will need two chef's hats, two jackets or two white coats, and two aprons. Items are laid out on stools located on the starting line, on opposite stools they place a mug filled with water, a wide-necked kefir bottle, and a tablespoon. The competition participants are divided into two teams. They line up at the starting line. At the presenter’s signal, the first numbers run up to the stool, put on a cap, jacket and apron and run to the opposite stools. Then they take spoons, scoop water from a mug once and pour it into a bottle, after which they return to their team and undress, handing the second number an apron and cap. He quickly gets dressed and performs the same task, etc.

No worse than a kangaroo

You need to run, or rather, jump a certain distance, holding a tennis ball or matchbox between your knees. Time is recorded by clock. If the ball or box falls to the ground, the runner picks it up, pinches it again with his knees and continues running. The one who shows it wins best time.

Without deviating from the route

Players from both teams line up in chains behind each other's heads. A 5-6 m long line with a circle at the end is drawn against each team on the ground. At the leader’s signal, team members run one after another exactly along the line to the center of the circle. Having reached it, they raise it right hand and, looking up, begin to spin. Having done 5 full revolutions in place, they run back along the line, again trying not to leave it. The team that finishes the competition the fastest wins.

Hockey players

For esta feta you will need plastic bottles different sizes, empty and filled with water (6-7 pieces). Bottles of water are placed in a straight line every 1 meter. At the end of the path, gates are installed or marked. Two teams each get a stick. The first player’s task is to use a stick to bring an empty plastic bottle, skirting obstacles like a snake, to the goal (to score), then return to the team and pass the stick to the next hockey player. The fastest team wins.

Balloon relay

2-3 teams of 5-6 people can participate in the relay race. Relay stages:
1. The first stage is to carry the ball on your head. If you fall, stop, pick yourself up and continue moving again.
2. The second stage is to run or walk, and toss the ball through the air.
3. The third stage is to carry two balls, pressing them together, between your palms.
4. The fourth stage is to drive the ball along the floor, going around the towns arranged like a snake (skittles, toys).
5. The fifth stage is to go the distance with a ball tied with a meter-long thread to the ankle.
6. The sixth stage is to carry the ball on a table tennis racket or in a large spoon.
7. The seventh stage is to hold the ball between your knees and jump with it like a kangaroo.

Rhythm relay race

A relay race between two or more teams that line up in columns in front of the starting line. The first team members have gymnastic sticks in their hands. At the signal, the players run with them to the stand located 15 m from the starting line, run around it and return to their columns. Holding the stick by one end, they carry it along the column under the feet of the children, who, without moving from their place, jump over it. Once at the end of the column, the participant picks up the stick and passes it to the partner standing in front of him, who passes it to the next, and so on until the stick reaches the player leading the column. He runs forward with a stick, repeating the task. The game ends when all participants have run the distance.

From one to five

This is a fun competition with plastic balls of different sizes. To play you still need two plastic sticks. Two teams of five people compete. The first players must use a stick to move one ball about seven meters. There is a large mace at the finish line, and the participant must go around it and return to his team. The second player is already dribbling two plastic balls, the third – three, the fourth – four, the fifth – five. It's very difficult, but exciting. The winner is the team that manages to carry out larger number balls.

Mushroom pickers

A relay race in which two teams participate. At the finish line they set up three towns for each team and cover them with colored circles - these are “mushrooms”. The first player at the start also has three circles in his hands, but of a different color. The player runs to the finish line, changes the caps of the “mushrooms” and returns, passing the circles to the second player. If the “mushroom” has fallen, then the movement cannot be continued. The team that was faster and more careful wins.

Simple matter

Two teams line up at the starting line. The first player receives a bowl filled with water and, at a signal, begins to run, trying not to splash the water. At the finish line, 15-20 steps apart, there are three stools or benches at some distance from each other. The player places the plate on a stool, crawls under it (if a bench is used, then steps over it), rearranges the bowl, etc. Then, taking the plate, he goes back. The second player starts running. If a team finished the relay earlier, but there was less water in the bowl than their opponents, then the game ended in a draw.

Census

Teams compete on a relay basis. Participants run to where there is a sheet of paper and a thick marker. The person who has reached the point writes down the name of any member of his team (except himself and those already written down) and, taking the marker, runs back and passes it to another participant. It's very funny how the last players struggle to remember whose name has not yet been written down. The game allows you to better remember the names in the new company.

Umbrella racing

Two teams take part in the relay. Two players run from each team at the same time, holding an open umbrella above them. The umbrella is passed to the next couple as a relay baton.

Waiters

Two teams are given a round tray and 15-20 empty ones plastic bottles different volumes. The first player takes the tray with one hand, places one bottle on it, puts the other hand behind his back and begins to move towards the table located at the opposite end of the room. Having reached the table, the “waiter” puts down the bottle and runs back to the team with the tray. The second player repeats these actions. It is prohibited to hold the bottle with your hand. When a bottle falls, the player returns to the team and takes another one. The team that serves their table the fastest wins.

Book races

The relay requires two small balls and two books. Two teams are formed and line up on the starting line. Each team player races with a ball between their knees and a book on their head. If the book falls, the racing participant stops, puts the book on his head and continues moving. The fastest team wins.

Potatoes in a spoon

You need to run a certain distance, holding a spoon with a large potato in your outstretched hand. They run in turns. The running time is recorded on the clock. If the potato falls, they put it back and continue running. You can't run without potatoes! The one with the best time wins. It will be more interesting if it is a team competition.

Postman on horseback

Two teams of postmen line up at the start, and on command they saddle a stick and clamp balloon between the knees (it turns out to be a “horse”), put on a hat and take the “mail” bag in your hand. Trying not to drop anything, players move to the turning piece and return back to hand the mail to the next postman. If a player loses at least one attribute, he stops, equips himself, and only then continues moving. The team that delivers the mail the fastest wins.

Dive into the hoop

Relay. Team players take turns pushing the hoop from start to finish and at the same time try to slip into it as often as possible, first on one side, then on the other. Each dive brings the team one point, but if the hoop falls, then this point is deducted, and the race continues from the place of the “accident”.

Join our group

The first participant puts on fins, squats down and begins to move forward, jumping like a frog. Having reached the turn, he turns to face his team. At this time, the next participant throws a tennis ball - a mosquito - to the frog. The frog must catch the prey and return home with it.

Reclamation agents

The team stands on the starting line, there is a stool at the turn, and on it there is a deep plate of water. This will be the “swamp”. It needs to be drained. The first one runs to the stool, stops about 20 centimeters from it and blows hard on a plate of water, trying to blow as much air out of it as possible. more water. Then he runs back to pass the baton. You can blow only once and no closer than 20 centimeters from the plate.

Riders

The team is divided into pairs. In each pair, one will be the “horse”, the second will be the “rider”. The “rider” sits on the “horse”.

Dunno in a hot air balloon

The participant takes in one hand a bucket containing balls, skittles, cubes, and so on. In the other - a ball. And he runs with them to the finish line, where the hoop is located. The player places one item from the bucket into the hoop. Returning to the team, he passes the bucket and ball to the next participant. He does the same.

Spider weaving a web

4 people participate at the same time. They stand with their backs to each other and clasp their hands, bent at the elbows. Now the spider needs to quickly go from the start to the turn and back. But you will have to move not in a straight line, but along a thread of a web. Let it be a rope laid on the ground or a line drawn with chalk. The line may have unexpected turns, zigzags.

Carrying the wounded

Three people are participating. Two are “healthy”, the third is “wounded”, he has a “broken leg”. “Healthy” players should interlace their hands so that they form a comfortable seat. The “wounded” sits down in this seat and maintains his balance by grasping more comfortably the shoulders or necks of his friends.

Penguin

You need 2 tennis balls. The participant’s task is to hold the tennis ball with their feet at knee or ankle level and carry it to the turning mark and back. In this case, you cannot jump or run. You have to waddle, but as quickly as possible.

scuba diving

The first one stands on the starting line, puts fins on his feet, takes a glass of water in one hand and raises it above his head and runs back and forth. You need to add water to the glass if it spills. Invite your free hand to make movements similar to those of a swimmer.

Watering machine

You need: glasses, 0.5 liter bottles and funnels (can be made of paper). Participants stand in pairs one after another. In the hands of the players of the first pair is an empty glass for one and a bottle filled with water for the other. At the bend there is a stool with a funnel. The first ones run, while one participant must pour water from a bottle into the glass of the other so as to fill the glass to the brim without stopping. Having reached the stool, the player with the glass must pour the water back. Then return the funnel to the stool and run back. The jury monitors whether the glass is filled to the brim during the run and how much water is lost from the bottle.

Watering flowers

Flowers will replace empty jars, and for watering you will need a glass and a bucket of water for each team. Empty liter jars(4-6 pieces) are installed one after another along the entire line of movement. It is better to install them on stools. There is a filled bucket of water near the start line. The first one takes a full glass of water and runs to “water the flowers.” He must distribute the water into each jar so that there is approximately the same amount everywhere. When all the “flowers” are watered, the player runs to the turn, returns back and hands over the glass. An equal amount of water in each jar is estimated.

Hitting the ball on target

A pin or flag is placed at a distance of 8-10 meters. Each team member gets the right to one throw, he must try to knock down the target. After each throw, the ball is returned to the team. If the target is shot down, it is replaced in its original place. The team with the most accurate hits wins.
- the ball does not fly, but rolls along the ground, launched by hand,
- players kick the ball,
- players throw the ball with both hands from behind their heads.

Passage of the swamp

Each team is given 2 hoops. With their help it is necessary to overcome the “swamp”. Groups of 3 people. At the signal, one of the participants in the first group throws the hoop to the ground, all three players jump into it. They throw the second hoop at such a distance from the first that they can jump into it, and then, without leaving the space of the second hoop, reach the first with their hand. So, by jumping and throwing hoops, the group gets to the turning point. You can get back to the starting line using a “bridge”, that is, simply roll the hoops along the ground. And at the starting line, the hoops are passed to the next three. It is strictly forbidden to step your foot outside the hoop - you can “drown”.

Diving

We need large basins of water. The basins stand about a meter from the starting line. Participants stand barefoot one after another. The task is for everyone to take turns jumping into a basin of water. But when jumping, you need to raise as much splash as possible so that more water splashes out of the basin. You cannot jump on the edge of the pelvis. If something like this happens, you will have to start all over again.

Long jump

The first one does a standing long jump. Does not move until a line is drawn that will fix the landing site. Draw a line along the toes of the shoes. The next one places his feet directly in front of the line, without stepping beyond it. And he also makes a long jump. That's how everyone jumps. You must jump carefully and not fall - otherwise the result of the jump will be annulled.

Jumping and running with the ball

Participants stand in pairs, holding hands. Each participant has a ball in their free hand. The task is to jump together to the finish line without releasing your hands or dropping the ball. In this case, the ball cannot be pressed to the body, nor back.

Jumping with a fixed ball

The first participant secures the ball between his knees, holds it in this position, and begins jumping at the signal. Having jumped to the turning flag, he takes the ball in his hands, runs back and, not reaching his 1 meter, puts it down. If the ball falls out, pick it up, return to the place where the jumps were interrupted, secure the ball and continue the relay.
- the ball is placed on the head and held with one hand,
- the ball is clamped between the soles of the feet,
- the ball is secured between the elbows in front of the chest.

Fisherman-sportsman

You will need a bucket of water, matches or small sticks according to the number of players, a tablespoon and a plate. The first one has a spoon and a plate in his hands. At the bend there is a bucket, in which matchstick fish swim on the surface of the water. The task of each participant is to run to the bucket-reservoir and, using a spoon, catch one fish and put it in a plate-tank. Then return to the team and hand over the catch and fishing rod. Don't drop your catch, otherwise you'll have to start all over again. With fish you need to scoop up some water.

From bump to bump

The players are divided into several teams and line up in columns, one at a time, near the starting line. In front of each column, from the start to the finish line (10-15 meters), 10-12 circles (bumps) with a diameter of 25-30 centimeters are drawn. At the command of the leader, the players standing first, begin to jump from bump to bump, and when they reach the finish line, they come back running. The first person to arrive and his team are given a point. The game is played several times, and in the end it is calculated who personally scored the most points and which team came first in terms of the number of wins.

Siamese twins

Two participants stand with their backs to each other and clasp their hands tightly. They run sideways. The backs of the players should be pressed tightly against each other.

Horse racing

The player sits on a stool, holding the edges and helping himself with his feet, covering the distance back and forth.

Raingatherers

Will be required strong helpers, such that they could lift a bucket, full of water. The assistants will have to make it “rain.” To do this, they will have to throw water from the buckets as high up as possible so that it returns from the height in splashes and drops. This rain will need to be collected by the entire team at the same time. To do this, each team member must have a glass. With this glass he must catch as many drops from the sky as possible after three splashes of rain. Then everything is poured into one container and compared.

Race walking

Your feet should not leave the ground for a single second, and you should step with your whole foot. When taking each step, you need to place the heel of one foot close to the toe of the other, that is, move the length of the sole. And since the players will move slowly, the distance for them can be determined as 5 meters, back and forth.

Holding the ball

Two people are running. They stand facing each other and hold the ball with their foreheads. Hands are placed on each other's shoulders. If the ball falls, you need to pick it up and continue running from the place where it fell.
- the ball is held by the bellies, and the hands are on the shoulders,
- the ball is held with your backs and your hands at your elbows.

Artists

A piece of canvas can be replaced by any one-color material measuring 50 x 50 centimeters (or a handkerchief). An ordinary tablespoon will play the role of a brush. Water will replace the paint. At the turn, a “canvas” is attached to the tablet (or lies on the ground). The first participant has a spoon in his hands. At the signal, he begins to move, scooping up water from the bucket with a spoon. He runs to the “canvas” and pours water on it. Then he comes back and hands over the spoon. The team whose canvas becomes wet the fastest wins.

Turtle Traveler

You need a metal or plastic basin. The first participant gets down on all fours, and a pelvis is placed on his back, bottom up. Now you need to go there and back without losing your shell-pelvis.

Baron Munchausen Core

The core is a ball with the word “core” written on it. Participants must ride the core, holding it between their knees and holding it with their hands. At the signal, in this position, they must make their way to the turning flag and back. If the ball bursts, the team is eliminated from the game.

Loaches

Teams have 6-7 people. Each team lines up in a column one at a time. At a signal, the one standing first quickly turns in a circle, after which the second one takes him by the belt and they rotate together, then three of them, and so on. The game ends as soon as the last member of one of the teams joins his column, and all the guys turn around their axis.

Fast train

Flags are placed 6-7 meters from each team. On the command "March!" The first players quickly walk (it is forbidden to run) to their flags, go around them and return to the columns, where they are joined by the second players, and together they again make the same path and so on. The players hold each other by the elbows and, while walking, move their arms like a locomotive connecting rod. When the front player - the locomotive - returns to his place with full staff, he must sound a long beep. The team that arrives at the station first wins.

To a new place

Two teams line up in columns one at a time. A line is drawn at a distance of 15-20 meters from them. At the signal from the leader, the first and second numbers of each team, holding hands, run over the line. The first numbers remain in the new place, and the second ones return, join hands with the third players and again run to the line. Then the second numbers remain, and the third ones return to combine with the fourth ones, and so on. The team whose players are all the first to reach the other side wins.

Ball relay

To play, you need volleyballs according to the number of teams. A chair is placed in front of each team 6-7 steps from the starting line. The first numbers, having received a ball, run to their chairs, stand behind them and from this place throw the balls to the second numbers, after which they return and stand at the end of their column. The second and subsequent numbers, having caught the ball, do the same. If the next player does not catch the ball, he must run after it, return to his place and only then continue the game. The team that has the ball, having bypassed all the players, returns to the first number first, wins.

Planting potatoes

Teams line up in front of the starting line. At a distance of 10-20 steps (depending on the size of the playing area and the age of the players), 4-6 circles are drawn in front of the columns, one and a half steps from one another. Those standing in front are given a bag filled with potatoes (according to the number of circles).
At the signal, players with bags, moving forward, place one potato in each circle. Then they come back and pass the empty containers to the next players. They run forward to collect the planted potatoes and, having filled the bags, return to the third team number, who again runs forward to “plant potatoes.” After jogging, the player stands at the end of his column. All team players are required to finish laying out and collecting potatoes. At the same time, they must pick up the fallen potatoes, put them in a bag and only then continue moving.
The team that manages to finish planting and harvesting potatoes faster than others is considered the winner.
Instead of circles, you can place small plastic hoops in front of the teams, and replace the potatoes with tennis balls. If you don’t have bags, you can take bags, children’s baskets, and buckets.

Penguin Run

Teams line up in columns in front of the starting line. Players standing first hold a volleyball or medicine ball between their legs (above the knees). In this position, they must reach the flag standing 10-12 steps away from them and return back, passing the ball with their hands to the second number of their team.
If the ball falls to the ground, you need to grab it with your feet again and continue playing. Those who finish jogging stand at the end of the column.
The team that manages to complete the relay faster and without errors wins.

Adults can only select the most suitable ones from a huge arsenal of different scenarios. Relay races for children are interesting and exciting. After all, by participating in them, every child can demonstrate dexterity, skills, and resourcefulness. Let's look at several game scenarios that can be used both at summer camp and in the yard.

Relay "Notes"

This game contains many surprises and various surprises. The kids just love them. Therefore, if you need to hold relay races for children at a camp, then this game will be a great solution. It can be done on fresh air. But if the day turns out to be rainy, then such a competition will be perfect indoors.

The game is only suitable for children school age. After all, they must be able to read quickly.

For the relay you should stock up on:

  • 2 paper bags (it is better that they are opaque, in which case the children will not be able to see the assignments);
  • chalk;
  • pencils;
  • paper.

You need to prepare for the relay in advance. To do this:

  1. The starting line is set. It can be drawn on the asphalt with chalk, or marked with a flag in the grass.
  2. Participants of two teams are determined. Required condition is an equal number of players in each group.
  3. It is necessary to prepare and write assignments on strips of paper. All notes must be printed in duplicate. Each team receives a package containing the same set of tasks. But be sure to ensure that all the kids have time to participate in the game.

You can come up with tasks yourself or use the following:

  1. Jump to the tree. Touch the trunk. Jump back.
  2. Run to the wall. Touch her. Run back.
  3. Squatting, jump towards the leader. Shake his hand. Jump back.
  4. Go backwards to the asphalt path. Write the team name in chalk. Also come back.

The rules are extremely simple. The first participants draw a task from the bags. Having completed it, they pass the baton on. The team that finishes it faster wins.

Such relay races will become a real holiday for children and will definitely evoke a lot of positive emotions.

Game "Race with potatoes"

Kids will be delighted with this relay race. For children 5 years old this game will be an interesting and fun activity.

You will need:

In this case, the ball should not fall. If this happens, then the couple has to start their movement all over again.
