How to decorate a room with balloons for a home party
We will not consider how professionals do it. They have skills, special equipment and a large number of ideas, which, for obvious reasons, they do not share with us :-).
I selected ideas that, in my opinion, are not so difficult to implement. Let’s roughly divide balloon decorations into "flying" And "regular".
Let's start with the usual ones. The professionals have concept of "primitives"- several options for simple figures made of balls, from which complex arches and columns are made. I can’t explain it in words, let’s see how the master does it (he will show you how to make a simple and complex flower to decorate a room with balls)&
It’s easy to make such primitives (simple elements - blanks) from 4 balls. You can attach it using special easy-to-remove hooks; they are available in all hardware stores.
These primitives can be intertwined with each other or simply used as single elements. If you use heart balls, you get even more beautiful flowers.

I don’t know about you, but colorful balloons randomly scattered on the floor immediately put me in the mood for fun and festive hooliganism. I think this is very cool (I remind you again :-)!
I also really like palm trees made from long balls. I don’t know what kind of trunk you would come up with for such a palm tree (professionals make it like a garland of primitives), but the “leaves” look very impressive. I think everyone can just tie 10-15 pieces into a bundle. The “orange” version resembles exotic flowers. Here are the pictures:
You can also order a surprise balloon! True, there is no way to do it yourself - special equipment is required. At first it simply decorates the room (you need to hang it high near the ceiling), and then it will delight your little guests with a magnificent effect. The fact is that a huge ball is filled with small balls, streamers and small toys. At the most significant moment of the holiday, you need to find a way to pierce it with a needle... Bang-bang!!! And the whole room, and the squealing children - everything is strewn with multi-colored happiness :-).
Numbers
Well, it's quite simple, since online stores offer foil balloons in the form of multi-colored numbers. We inflate, attach with double-sided tape to wooden, plastic and glass surfaces. There are different sizes - from 40 cm to 1 meter.
Now about helium balloons
Quite a lot of shops that sell flowers, souvenirs or offer gift wrapping have a helium tank. You can bring your own balloons and inflate them for a fee.
If you need a lot of balloons, it makes sense to order with delivery.
How to decorate a room with helium balloons
There are, of course, much more opportunities here. I again excluded all complex shapes from balls that require special skills in making.
Foil balloons last the longest. They are expensive, but they also stay in the air for several weeks. You can choose inflatable figures based on the theme of the holiday, and there is nothing more to be done.

Balloon fountains
I like these decorations the most, since the effort required is minimal, and the structures turn out to be large and very noticeable. If you make them at a height of 170-200 cm, it feels like there are columns in the room. You can also attach one ball to a weighting agent (usually this is also a ball slightly filled with water). And tied together on ribbons of different lengths, the balls form an incomparable fountain. Something like this:
Walking balls
The Mickey figure (130-140 cm high) is inflated with helium, but does not fly up, since there are weights in the legs. The children ran around, creating currents of air, from which Mickey also began to move. This handsome guy costs about 900 rubles (with helium). In addition, you can make decorative Christmas trees from cones. To do this, take a large cone and paint it green. If you want the Christmas tree to be a little non-standard, then use a color other than green, for example, silver or gold. Place the resulting cone on a stand or in a small flower pot. It should be placed with the stem down. Colored beads are suitable for decorating such a decorative Christmas tree.
Garlands

Although such garlands look quite impressive and beautiful. It's easy to create them. You can make a garland from corrugated paper. Multi-colored long strips are cut out of it. All must be the same width. Frequent cuts are made along the edges of each strip. As a result, you will get a fringe. Do not make them too deep; at least 2 cm from the edge of the strip should remain. Two strips of different colors are twisted together into a rope. Do this with all the stripes. As a result, you will get a fluffy garland; you can place it above the door or on the wall.
Windows

But the most popular option for everyone since childhood is decoration with snowflakes. Of course, now they are already sold ready-made. They are strung on a thread that has been moistened or soaked in glue in advance. Uneven gaps of 2 to 10 cm are left between the balls. Quite a lot of such threads with “snow” will be needed, since it is advisable to decorate all the windows in the room. You can count their number in advance by measuring the length of the cornice and dividing it by about 15-20 cm. It is at this distance from each other that the threads are attached to the cornice. This way we will get real snowy windows, even if it’s near zero and slushy outside.

Many people associate this element more with birthdays. However, this is, first of all, an element of the holiday, so it can also be used quite successfully on New Year’s Day.

Paper snowflakes will help create a New Year's mood in the room. There is hardly a person who has never cut them out. And with the advent of the Internet era, there is a great opportunity to create a variety of patterns - you can find many snowflake templates. 
If you have the opportunity to spend a little more time and nerve cells, you can try to create voluminous snowflakes - by decorating the room with them, the owners are guaranteed to receive the admiration of their guests and compliments from them.
However, snowflakes do not have to be exclusively paper - you can cut them out of foam plastic (or buy ready-made ones) and paint them or sprinkle them with artificial snow and glitter. Women can crochet openwork beauty. Men who are keen on wood sawing can create a huge wall-sized snowflake for their family and decorate it with multi-colored light bulbs.
Garlands
Not a single New Year celebration is complete without a garland.
