Children's toothpaste Splat from 0 to 3. Children's toothpaste Splat - Junior and Juicy series

When purchasing toothpaste for children, it is necessary to take into account that it does not contain harmful substances, has a caryostatic and strengthening effect on the enamel, and also has an attractive taste. Most companies make toothpastes for children of any age category. Nowadays you can find a huge assortment of this product, but sometimes it can be very difficult to make the right choice.

Toothpastes for children should take into account the structural features of children's teeth

Characteristics of the composition of children's toothpaste

Particular attention should be paid to the composition of the toothpaste. It should not contain the following substances:

  1. Antiseptics (triclosan, metronidazole and chlorhexidine). Together with harmful bacteria, they destroy the natural microflora in the mouth. The use of pastes containing this substance leads to a decrease in the protective function of the oral cavity. If you do not find a component in the product, look for the word “TOTAL”, which indicates the presence of some kind of antiseptic. It is better to refuse to buy such paste.
  2. Foaming agents (sodium lauryl sulfate SLS, E487). They are detergents that are obtained from coconut oil using chemical synthesis. These substances pose a serious danger and are included in almost all cosmetic products. Most companies pass them off as a natural component, indicating “derived from coconuts” instead of the real name.
  3. Preservatives, including sodium benzoate, parabens, benzyl alcohol, as well as the substance that makes the paste viscous - propylene glycol (PEG-32, PEG-40. All of them are strong carcinogens.
  4. Sugar (sorbitol, glucose, sucrose), as it helps create favorable conditions for the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

Lauryl sulfate is an aggressive foaming agent that is dangerous for children's bodies.

Substances that do not pose a threat to the baby’s health:

  1. water;
  2. glycerol;
  3. xanthan gum;
  4. sorbitol;
  5. titanium dioxide.

These components influence the thickness and appearance of the paste. For example, xanthan gum acts as a dietary supplement to provide thickness and a gel-like state. Thanks to the addition of water, glycerin, or sorbitol, the paste does not dry out in an open tube. Titanium dioxide gives a rich white tint.

Main active ingredients

The main active ingredients contained in children's toothpaste include:

  • Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate (dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, DDCP). Gently acts on tooth enamel without disturbing it, gently removes plaque on teeth. When this substance comes into contact with saliva, calcium and phosphorus ions are produced, which help restore hard enamel tissue.
  • Xylitol (xylitol). Helps eliminate caries or prevent its occurrence. Thanks to xylitol, minerals are absorbed faster by tooth enamel and harmful bacteria in the mouth are destroyed. According to research, a 10% concentration of xylitol has a greater effect. As an exception, the concentration of xylitol reaches 12%.

Xylitol is responsible for preventing the formation of caries
  • Calcium Glycerophosphate (calcium glycerophosphate), Calcium Citrate (calcium citrate), Magnesium chloride (magnesium chloride). These substances help saturate the enamel surface, strengthen its structure, and also have an anti-caries effect.
  • Hydrated Silica. It acts gently and removes plaque without damaging tooth enamel.
  • Zinc citrate. Has an antibacterial effect and eliminates bad breath.
  • Sodium monofluorophosphate. Helps strengthen the hard tissues of the oral cavity, thereby increasing the protective function of teeth against the action of dangerous acids.
  • Calcium carbonate. It cleanses the oral cavity well of soft deposits on the teeth and has a strengthening effect. Unlike dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, calcium carbonate has the most powerful effect, as a result of which pastes containing it are recommended for use in children over 3 years of age.
  • Aminofluoride is a form of fluorine of organic origin. 20 seconds are enough to create a reliable protective barrier on the tooth surface. This is of great importance, because most children do not like to brush their teeth for 3 minutes, as expected.

Parents often face the question: should children's toothpaste contain fluoride? Fluoride is very dangerous if swallowed, so you should not buy such toothpastes for children under two or three years old. Older children are allowed to use pastes containing fluoride in a small volume and organic form in the form of olaflur or aminofluoride.

Since children often taste toothpaste, fluoride content is not recommended.

It is advisable to avoid pastes that contain abrasives, as there is a risk that too hard particles will adversely affect the child’s vulnerable enamel. Toothpaste for children should not contain fluoride or any abrasives.

Rating of toothpastes for children

  • 1st place goes to pasta produced by Lakalut;
  • 2nd place goes to the President company;
  • 3rd place is given to Splat products;
  • Roks company is in 4th place;
  • in 5th place - Silca;
  • 6th place is occupied by Weleda products;
  • 7th place goes to Elmex.

The best advice for parents is to take their child to the dentist and get advice on choosing a toothpaste. The specialist will advise it taking into account the individual characteristics of the child’s oral cavity.

The ideal toothpaste is the one recommended by your dentist

Lakalut pastes are produced in Germany. Their advantage is reasonable price and high quality. The composition contains amino fluoride, fluorine and vitamins A and E. Amin fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and also forms a film-like protection on the tooth surface, under which fluoride continues to be absorbed for a long time after use. The enamel is mineralized, which makes it possible to cure caries at the white spot stage.

Fluorine is present in a small volume, not exceeding the norm. The paste does not contain sodium lauryl sulfate, so it is not at all capable of harming children's health. Products for different age categories are endowed with a variety of scents:

  • 0-4 years “LACALUT baby” with raspberry flavor. Suitable for baby teeth.
  • 4-8 years old “LACALUT kids 4+” with citrus flavor. It is characterized by the presence of fluorine in the composition of aminofluoride, which is necessary to prevent the formation of caries.
  • 8-12 years old “LACALUT teens 8+” with a citrus-mint flavor. It has a gel-like structure with multi-colored microcapsules. The paste is characterized by the presence of amino fluoride and sodium fluoride in the permitted therapeutic dose. The paste can be used as a prophylaxis against caries, as well as in its treatment at the initial stage of a white spot. The product is approved by the German Dental Society.

President's products are made in Italy. Toothpaste without fluoride, thanks to which you can brush the teeth of children from birth to three years old, without fear of accidental swallowing. Xylitol promotes the breakdown of food acids in the oral cavity and has a caryostatic effect. Products for children over six years of age have a less pronounced effect. Gel-like paste from 6 to 12 years old is made specifically for children susceptible to caries and is characterized by a large amount of fluoride in the form of fluoride and monofluorophosphate.

There are the following pastes from the President company:

  • "PRESIDENT Baby 0-3" with raspberry flavor. Characterized by low abrasiveness.
  • “PRESIDENT Kids” 3-6 years old with Cola flavor.
  • "PresiDENTJunior 6+" 6-12 years old with lime flavor.
  • From 12 years old “PRESIDENT Teens 12+” with mint flavor. It is characterized by a good composition, abrasiveness is slightly less than average. You can care for your children's permanent teeth during adolescence.

Splat

Country of origin: Russia. Splat pastes can be selected for children of different age categories. They contain hydroxyapatite, a set of components (lysozyme, lactoferrin, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase) and various additional substances. All Splat toothpastes are made without fluoride, sodium lauryl sulfate and parabens. The only exceptions are products made for children from 3 to 8 years old.

There are several Splat toothpastes:

  • "SPLAT Juicy Set". Effectively saturates tooth enamel with calcium. SPLAT Juicy children's toothpaste can be used by both children and adults, since the composition does not contain harmful components.
  • “SPLAT Junior 0-4.” Made for children up to four years of age. The paste is available in the form of foam; there is no danger if swallowed. It contains a combination of substances that enhance the protective function of the oral mucosa, thereby preventing the occurrence of stomatitis.
  • "SPLAT Junior 3-8". Characterized by a varied composition. There is fluorine in the form of amino fluoride, calcium, a combination of substances that help enhance the protective functions of the oral mucosa. However, the simultaneous content of fluoride and calcium leads to the fact that when their ions combine, an insoluble salt is formed, which does not bring any benefit to the teeth.

SPLAT Juicy children's toothpaste deserves special attention. It is presented in children's favorite flavors: fruit, chocolate, ice cream. Moreover, this toothpaste has a very bright and attractive packaging that kids love. The paste will perfectly restore and strengthen the solid structure of teeth, help prevent the occurrence of caries and plaque. Suitable for any child's age.

ROCS

The company is quite widespread. Rox pastes contain calcium glycerophosphate, xylitol, alginate, herbal extracts, as well as linden and chamomile extracts. The product is characterized by low abrasiveness and has a good therapeutic effect. Due to the fact that there are no preservatives in the composition, an opened tube can be used for 30 days, then it is recommended to get rid of the remaining contents and purchase a new paste. An unopened tube of paste can be stored for up to 2 years.

In addition to the product, the package contains a small coloring book and a calendar game so that the baby knows when to brush his teeth. The only disadvantage of this company is the high price.

There are several known Rox toothpastes:

  • "ROCS - PRO Baby". Not hazardous if swallowed. Made for children up to three years old.
  • “ROCS Baby – fragrant chamomile” for children under three years old. The disadvantage is the lack of components aimed at strengthening tooth enamel, for example, calcium. In addition, it does not contain fluoride, so it does not have an anti-caries effect. It is advisable to use it at the moment when teeth are being cut, since the components contained in it are aimed at protecting not the teeth, but the gums.
  • “ROCS kids – berry fantasy” for children from 4 to 7 years old with raspberry and strawberry flavors.
  • “ROCS kids – barberry” for children from 3 to 7 years old. This children's toothpaste is fluoride-free, so it can be used in places where drinking water contains excess fluoride. The paste is characterized by the presence of a calcium compound to strengthen the enamel, as well as xylitol to neutralize acids.

Silca

The pasta is made in Germany and is inexpensive. Approved by the German Dental Society.

This company produces the following pastes:

  • SILCAMED line
    • 0+ BABY – for the first teeth.
    • 2+ with extracts of sage, linden, chamomile (depending on the release form). Pastes are available in different flavors: apple, strawberry, cola, chewing gum.
  • 1-5 years “SILCA Putzi – banana”. Endowed with low abrasiveness. The composition does not contain dyes or sodium lauryl sulfate, so you don’t have to worry if your child accidentally swallows the paste. It is recommended to use a similar paste without fluorine and calcium alternately with other products that contain calcium glycerophosphate or amino fluoride.
  • 2-12 years old “SILCA Putzi – orange”. It has low abrasiveness and can be used to clean both baby and permanent teeth (we recommend reading:). The composition contains fluorine in the form of sodium fluoride. You should know that toothpastes containing fluoride are not advisable for use by a child under five years of age if he is not susceptible to caries. It is better to opt for a product with calcium.

Weleda calendula gel is suitable for children under three years of age. Its active ingredients include essential oils and alginate, which have an anti-inflammatory effect. The product is most effective when the child is teething. Thanks to abrasive and polishing components, baby teeth are cleaned of microbes. The gel is completely safe, so no need to worry if your child accidentally swallows it. Since this product does not contain fluorine and calcium, you need to choose another paste that contains calcium glycerophosphate or amino fluoride and alternate their use.

Elmex

The company Colgate produces such products. The country of origin is China. The aminofluoride content is within the therapeutic dosage, and there are no dyes or preservatives. It is inexpensive, but is dangerous if swallowed because it contains excess fluoride.

The following Colgate children's toothpastes are available:

  • "Elmex for children" is used to clean baby teeth. Thanks to amino fluoride, it is well suited as a prophylaxis.
  • "Elmex Junior" Aminofluoride is in a therapeutic dose, so its action is aimed at protecting teeth from caries, as well as treating the initial stage of white spots.

It is important to choose the best product for your baby. Follow all recommendations, pay attention that the paste does not contain harmful substances and fluorine in inorganic form. Do everything you can to ensure your child has healthy, strong teeth. It's always nice to look at a photo with a beautiful smile, especially if it shows your blood!

Greetings to all who stopped by!

Oral hygiene is needed not only by adults, but also by the smallest, no less important family members. With the appearance of my first tooth, I, like many mothers, was in search of a quality cleanser (even if it was still small, but growing!).

It is important for me that children’s toothpaste is safe to swallow, has a harmless composition, has a pleasant taste for the baby, and carefully cleanses and takes care of children’s teeth.

Splat has new products - Baby toothpastes for children (from 0 to 3 years) . I'll tell you about pasta with flavor" Apple-banana ".

You can buy it in pharmacies and stores in the city, or order it on the official website. Cost 156 rub.

The paste is produced in a cardboard box with a bright children's design.

The kit includes a silicone finger brush, which will be a faithful assistant in cleaning your very first teeth. It gently cleanses, does not injure and massages the gums.

We used a similar brush about a year ago, and now we have switched to soft children’s brushes that are age-appropriate.

It can easily replace the teether: if mom puts it on her finger, she can scratch the itchy gums, massage, thereby facilitating the teething process. Now my child is doing well and is coping with this device on her own (yes, we are not yet 20...).

Let's move on to the tuba.

There is a protective foil.

The lid is made as a flip-top. This toothpaste format is the most convenient for me - I don’t like to unscrew the caps.

Description of active components.

Since the process of spitting toothpaste in children has not yet been mastered (some still do not know how, others are learning), it is important to pay attention to the manufacturer’s instructions about safety when swallowing.

A small pea of paste is required for a child. Its color is white, it has a pleasant, fruity aroma, weak. The taste is delicate, there is a good taste of banana, a little apple. But some “zest” is added by licorice extract.

For me personally, JUICY “Ice Cream” turned out to be more delicious, but the child, it seemed, didn’t care at all (we are 1.11).

The paste gently helps clean children's teeth from plaque, but it doesn't work well on adults and doesn't freshen their breath (not surprising). It did not cause an allergic reaction or any other undesirable effects.

Foaming is low.

SPLAT Baby toothpaste (from 0-3 years) can be a pleasant and, most importantly, useful addition to a gift for a baby and his young parents. And next time we’ll take something else, especially since the manufacturer has an excellent selection of products for caring for the child’s oral cavity. And most importantly - safety and variety of tastes!

Thank you for your attention to the review.

Somehow, unexpectedly quickly, the child ran out of pasta. Previously, teeth cleaning took place under my strict guidance: I myself squeezed the toothpaste onto his brush, he brushed, and then I took his brush and cleaned my teeth a little more myself. But when he started brushing his teeth on his own, our consumption not even doubled, but at least tripled. Therefore, I was not prepared for the pasta to run out so quickly. Of course, my pea-sized portion of paste is clearly inferior to a path of paste for almost the entire length of the brush. There was no paste in stock, so I placed an order in IM, and while I was waiting for the package, I went shopping hoping for the best

What caught my eye was that the shelves of stores and pharmacies are bursting with bright tubes of pastes with cartoon characters: Winx, Smeshariki, Spider-Man... of course there are pastes in plain packaging, but their compositions are different. I would have bought children's Rox with linden extract, which has a shelf life of only one month, but I couldn’t find it, I was already ready for Siberica Biberica (I don’t like Natura Siberica for the fragrances used), as they say, choose the lesser of two evils, but this one too I didn’t find any paste on the shelves. One box at the pharmacy attracted me. Bioactive toothpaste from Splat. I don’t really trust the pastes of this company, I know that the adult paste contains critical ingredients, but after quickly reading the composition, nothing alerted me, except for cocamidopropyl betaine, I know that the service rates it at three 🍏🍏🍏, but the inscription 99.3% Natural convinced me that the paste can be trusted and three apple cocamidopropyl betaine I thought would be the worst ingredient.

Look at the box. Everything is very sweet and gentle. Wonderful babies, a heart with the manufacturer’s logo, multi-colored letters and an inscription, no INscription 99.3% natural.

The back of the box is in English.

Effective protection against caries and aid in teething. This is a miracle, a miracle, but! For an older child, protection from caries is good, and for a younger child, it helps with teething. What help? How and how can toothpaste help with teething? Ease the pain? Will your teeth come out faster? Kalgel relieves pain for 20 minutes, but what can paste do? Nothing in my opinion.

Bioactive toothpaste is intended for the first baby teeth and is suitable for children under three years of age.

On the other side of the box we read that the paste contains extracts of chamomile, calendula, prickly pear and aloe vera gel. How do you like the innovative patented system?

There is a paste inside the box. The tube is made of soft plastic. The volume of the paste is small, only 40 ml. On the tube we read that the paste is 99.3% natural, hypoallergenic and safe to swallow.

It's not just a paste, it's a set. There was also a silicone fingertip inside the box. The paste and fingertip lay on a white plastic backing, but it didn’t “live up” to the photo shoot.

On the back we see some information from the box.

The silicone fingertip is designed for cleaning the first teeth.

The paste is very thick and dense. You need to apply a little force to squeeze it out of the tube.

The color of the paste is milky white with a grayish tint.

It's time to look at the composition: hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, aqua, dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, hydrated silica, glycerin, xanthan gum, potassium thiocyanate, lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, glucose oxidase, glucose pentaacetate, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, opuntia ficus- indica flower extract, lonicera japonica flower extract, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, cocamidopropyl betain, o- cymen -5- ol, glycyrrhiza glabra root extract, vaccinium oxycoccos fruit extract, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, chamomilla recutita extract, calendula officinalis extract, arginine.

I definitely use the composition checking service

What can I say

And I hoped that only cocamidopropyl betaine would have the lowest rating.

No matter what anyone says, I am against having even three-point ingredients in the products my children use. Especially when it’s toothpaste, especially if it’s intended for little ones. After all, kids can easily swallow it.

Let's see what potassium thiocyanate contains.

Cocamidopropyl betaine

And the ingredient that received two points

The unidentified ingredient glucose pentaacetate is an emulsion stabilizer.

This means that the manufacturer says that the paste is safe if swallowed. I don't want my children to use such dubious products that can cause irritation and allergic reactions.

First use

I used the paste with my child. It's terrible how disgusting it smells. This is not strawberry Logona with an amazing smell and taste, which is easily squeezed onto a toothbrush with a child's hand. The paste is dense, it comes out of the tube with difficulty. The smell is certainly disgusting, but maybe it will taste better, oh, no, not better, the paste made me want to eat. She doesn't enjoy brushing her teeth. The paste foams quite strongly - a little less than a regular adult paste (natural, of course), but the foam quickly falls off and it is not dense, airy.

For comparison, adult paste (yellow) and children's Vanilla. I tried to use the same amount of paste.

Foaming in the nursery is less, but I still find it strong. I’m not a fan of foamy pastes, maybe some people like the abundance of foam in the mouth, but I don’t, I’m out of the habit, because natural pastes don’t foam as much. Although, if you take the paste from Natura Siberiki Frosty Berries, there is such foaming that I had to brush my teeth with a paste smaller than a pea, but brushing my teeth did not bring pleasure, because the taste of the paste is soapy, unnatural, and berry.

The paste was disappointing both in composition and taste, but what can you do, the children had to brush their teeth with it for about a week. True, I didn’t brush my teeth twice as expected, but brushed my teeth only before bed in order to minimize contact with the toothpaste. She explained that the composition was bad and that very little paste should be squeezed onto the brush. My older niece is still picky, so after brushing her teeth with this paste a couple of times, she refused to brush her teeth with it afterwards. She brushed her teeth with an adult toothpaste, but for my baby’s first teeth, I didn’t even think about taking the risk of brushing her teeth. As it turned out, taste, smell and foaming are not all the disadvantages - the tube turned out to have a very tight lid. Holding the tube in my hand and trying to remove the cap with my thumb, I succeeded with little effort. It opens a little and that's it. I, an adult, managed to open the paste with one finger, but with some effort. I conducted an experiment: I gave a tube of paste to my niece so that she could open the lid of the paste. On the fourth attempt the lid gave way. She closed it and let it open again, now her teeth are used, she says when it doesn’t open, you can open it like that. Opening something with your teeth is not good. My child tried to open the paste with his hands, but could not. He walked over to the washing machine, lifted the lid to a flat surface and pulled the tube down. I was surprised, but the goal was achieved, the pasta was opened.

It looks like this - the lid opens a little and with a slight upward movement of your finger it unfortunately does not open.

Accordingly, if the lid opens tightly, it means it closes tightly. You need to press firmly so that the lid closes until it clicks.

Neither I nor the children liked the pasta.

Bad taste

Unpleasant smell

Strong foaming

Tight cap

Critical ingredient in the composition

Of the positive aspects of purchasing this set, I can only highlight the silicone fingertip - this is a good and necessary thing for children’s first teeth.

Don’t buy this paste for your children, because there are very good children’s pastes, with natural ingredients and pleasant tastes, even if they cost more, we choose the best for our children!

Frequently asked questions

First of all, one that does not injure the gums during use. At the same time, the quality of oral hygiene depends more on whether the teeth are brushed correctly than on the shape or type of toothbrush. As for electric brushes, for uninformed people they are a more preferable option; although you can clean your teeth efficiently with a simple (manual) brush. In addition, a toothbrush alone is often not enough - floss (special dental floss) must be used to clean between the teeth.

Mouthwashes are additional hygiene products that effectively cleanse the entire oral cavity of harmful bacteria. All these products can be divided into two large groups - therapeutic and preventive and hygienic.

The latter include mouthwashes that eliminate unpleasant odors and promote fresh breath.

As for therapeutic and prophylactic ones, these include rinses that have anti-plaque/anti-inflammatory/anti-carious effects and help reduce the sensitivity of hard dental tissues. This is achieved due to the presence of various biologically active components in the composition. Therefore, the mouthwash must be selected individually for each individual, as well as toothpaste. And since the product is not washed off with water, it only consolidates the effect of the active ingredients of the paste.

This type of cleaning is completely safe for dental tissues and causes less damage to the soft tissues of the oral cavity. The fact is that in dental clinics a special level of ultrasonic vibrations is selected, which affects the density of the stone, disrupts its structure and separates it from the enamel. In addition, in places where tissues are treated with an ultrasonic scaler (this is the name of the device for cleaning teeth), a special cavitation effect occurs (after all, oxygen molecules are released from water droplets, which enter the treatment area and cool the tip of the instrument). The cell membranes of pathogenic microorganisms are ruptured by these molecules, causing the microbes to die.

It turns out that ultrasonic cleaning has a comprehensive effect (provided that really high-quality equipment is used) both on the stone and on the microflora as a whole, cleansing it. But the same cannot be said about mechanical cleaning. Moreover, ultrasonic cleaning is more pleasant for the patient and takes less time.

According to dentists, dental treatment should be carried out regardless of your situation. Moreover, a pregnant woman is recommended to visit the dentist every one to two months, because, as you know, when carrying a baby, the teeth are significantly weakened, suffer from a deficiency of phosphorus and calcium, and therefore the risk of developing caries or even tooth loss increases significantly. To treat pregnant women, it is necessary to use harmless anesthesia. The most appropriate course of treatment should be selected exclusively by a qualified dentist, who will also prescribe the required medications that strengthen tooth enamel.

It is quite difficult to treat wisdom teeth due to their anatomical structure. However, qualified specialists successfully treat them. Wisdom teeth prosthetics are recommended when one (or several) adjacent teeth are missing or need to be removed (if you also remove a wisdom tooth, there will simply be nothing to chew). In addition, removal of a wisdom tooth is undesirable if it is located in the correct place in the jaw, has its own antagonist tooth and takes part in the chewing process. You should also take into account the fact that poor quality treatment can lead to the most serious complications.

Here, of course, a lot depends on a person’s taste. So, there are absolutely invisible systems attached to the inside of the teeth (known as lingual), and there are also transparent ones. But the most popular are still metal bracket systems with colored metal/elastic ligatures. It's really fashionable!

To begin with, it is simply unattractive. If this is not enough for you, we present the following argument - tartar and plaque on the teeth often provoke bad breath. Is this not enough for you? In this case, we move on: if tartar “grows”, this will inevitably lead to irritation and inflammation of the gums, that is, it will create favorable conditions for periodontitis (a disease in which periodontal pockets form, pus constantly flows out of them, and the teeth themselves become mobile ). And this is a direct path to the loss of healthy teeth. Moreover, the number of harmful bacteria increases, which causes increased dental caries.

The service life of a well-established implant will be tens of years. According to statistics, at least 90 percent of implants function perfectly 10 years after installation, while the service life is on average 40 years. Typically, this period will depend both on the design of the product and on how carefully the patient cares for it. That is why it is imperative to use an irrigator during cleaning. In addition, it is necessary to visit the dentist at least once a year. All these measures will significantly reduce the risk of implant loss.

Removal of a dental cyst can be done therapeutically or surgically. In the second case, we are talking about tooth extraction with further cleaning of the gums. In addition, there are modern methods that allow you to save the tooth. This is, first of all, cystectomy - a rather complex operation that involves removing the cyst and the affected root tip. Another method is hemisection, in which the root and a fragment of the tooth above it are removed, after which it (the part) is restored with a crown.

As for therapeutic treatment, it consists of cleaning out the cyst through a root canal. This is also a difficult option, especially not always effective. Which method should you choose? This will be decided by the doctor together with the patient.

In the first case, professional systems based on carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide are used to change the color of teeth. Obviously, it is better to give preference to professional whitening.

I wrote that the youngest (2 years old) brushes his teeth himself, although without toothpaste. And one young mother wrote in the comments that they brush their teeth with toothpaste, but not with a toothbrush, but with a special fingertip.

And what do you think, I urgently needed this fingertip and super safe toothpaste for my youngest. The search was short-lived; I found both the paste and the finger brush on the website of the well-known company Splat. I think everyone has heard about their toothpastes for adults, but here is a series for children.

Place of purchase: online store splat.

Full name: Bioactive toothpaste splat for children 0-3 years old vanilla

Price: 157 rub.

We open the box, and there it is! Surprise - the Splat children's toothpaste also comes with a finger brush. All this lies in the box, each in its place. Nothing dangles or falls out. I think such a set can even be given as a gift for the baby’s first tooth - rest assured, parents will appreciate such care on your part

I'll tell you first about toothpaste. Because that’s what we buy, and the brush comes as a present))

The toothpaste tube is made of soft plastic and does not slip out even when a child holds it with wet hands. The lid is quite difficult to open; a two-year-old can’t handle it. We have to help him, and this irritates him terribly; he wants to be independent in everything

What is this children's toothpaste supposed to do:

EFFECTIVE PROTECTION AGAINST CARIES AND HELP WITH TEETHING

A unique soft cleaning base, close to the composition of tooth enamel (dicalcium phosphate dihydrate), destroys soft plaque and allows you to clean children's enamel without damage, and licorice extract, part of the LUCTATOL® complex, prevents its re-formation by 96%.

Also, on the official website it is written that this toothpaste is suitable for children aged 0-3 years. Safe if swallowed- and this is very important when choosing children's toothpaste. Especially if she is the first.

Still very an interesting fact was that, that on the toothpaste it is written that it reduces the sensitivity of children's teeth during teething. We were not able to check this part, since the baby has already grown up and his new teeth come out painlessly.

It is also written that the toothpaste is 99.3% natural - of course I want to believe it.

On the other side there are all kinds of useful ingredients that are included in the composition.

Active components:

  • Innovative anti-caries system LUCTATOL® - The combination of Japanese licorice extract and lactic enzymes destroys the membranes of cariogenic bacteria, keeps breath fresh and slows down the formation of plaque. Reduces the risk of caries and prevents plaque by 96%
  • Calcium hydroxyapatite (nHap), similar in composition to tooth enamel, provides intensive strengthening of children's tooth enamel.
  • L-Arginine reduces gum sensitivity during teething and has an anti-inflammatory effect due to L-Arginine and the plant extracts of chamomile, calendula, yarrow, cranberry and prickly pear and aloe vera gel.

Cream toothpaste almost no smell. This is what it looks like on the brush.

♡♡♡ Now, as for the present - the fingertip brush.♡♡♡

The packaging says that Before using the finger brush for the first time, you must first boil it! This is very important, do not miss this moment.

The brush is transparent, very soft. On one side there are silicone bristles, and on the other there are simply convex dots. I understand that one side is for brushing teeth and massaging children’s gums, and the other side is for cleaning the tongue.

I liked the quality of the silicone - it did not turn yellow after a month of use.

On my index finger, the finger brush does not hold very tightly and sometimes slips off.

♡♡♡How we brush children's teeth♡♡♡

My experience using the brush suggests that my baby has already grown beyond the age when I could massage his gums or brush his teeth myself. My stubborn, independent baby refused to let me brush his teeth. Therefore, he himself takes a silicone fingertip and brushes his teeth, still without toothpaste. He really likes to “scratch” his teeth with it.

I think this silicone finger brush will be suitable for younger babies - when they happily open their mouths so that their mother can massage their teeth during teething. And also for children who like to chew on something - for example, a parent's finger)) But it is not recommended to leave such a fingertip and a child unattended - there are different situations and it is better for parents to control everything.

And sometimes, baby brushes teeth with toothpaste. Maybe not with this brush, but on my own! Now I take a very ordinary children's toothbrush from the same Splat, squeeze out toothpaste there, and my baby brushes his teeth in sync with his older brother to the beat of drums. When the drums start beating harder and faster, the baby should spit out the paste. And it seems we are starting to do well.

I think if it weren’t for this toothpaste, which is considered safe if swallowed, my two-year-old child would have flattered himself with hopes that someday his mother would allow him to brush his teeth like an adult, with toothpaste!

P.S. Have you ever brushed your teeth with children's toothpaste??? Yes, I always try their pasta myself. This paste tastes sweet and foams a little. The taste is reminiscent of a sweet tablet with a slight bitter aftertaste. And it seems that it is precisely because of this aftertaste that it seems that the teeth are clean. Protects even adult teeth.

That's the kind of experimental mom I am.

We draw a conclusion :

  • toothpaste is safe to swallow
  • the price is adequate
  • you can buy without leaving home
  • almost no smell
  • foams medium
  • Comes with a silicone finger brush
  • there is hope that the toothpaste will really protect the baby’s teeth from caries

I hope my review will be useful to you and you will make the right choice.
