Polysorb is a new generation sorbent, obtained on the basis of highly dispersed silicon, which has unique sorbing properties that ensure effective and rapid detoxification, both for external and internal use. 1 g of Polysorb structures 15-20 g of water, is capable of binding 300-800 mg of protein, 1x10 or more microbial bodies, protein complexes of bilirubin and bile acids, and normalizes cholesterol levels in the blood.

Polysorb MP is taken orally only in the form of an aqueous suspension. To obtain a suspension, the required amount of the drug is thoroughly mixed in 1/4-1/2 cup of water. It is recommended to prepare a fresh suspension before each dose of the drug and drink it 1 hour before meals or taking other medications.

For adults the drug Polysorb MP is prescribed in an average daily dose of 0.1-0.2 g/kg body weight (6-12 g). Frequency of administration - 3-4 times/day. The maximum daily dose for adults is 0.33 g/kg body weight (20 g).

A single dose of Polysorb MP for children depends on body weight (see table).

Polysorb: instructions for use

The medicinal form of the drug is a suspension. It is prepared before use by stirring the contents of the sachet with water. For one-time use, 50-100 ml of water is enough. Features of the application is the dosage depending on the weight of the child. For convenience, doctors prescribe the medicine, dosing it in teaspoons and tablespoons. It is conventionally noted that a teaspoon of powder corresponds to 1 g of medication, and a tablespoon corresponds to 3 g.

A suspension is prepared from the powder, for which the drug is dissolved in 50-100 ml of water. The suspension must be drunk immediately after preparation.
