The Research Institute of OMM of Rosmedtekhnologii serves all residents of the region, as well as patients from other regions of the country. The Institute is engaged in the treatment and management of pregnancy in women with fetoplacental insufficiency, urological and genital pathologies, miscarriage, Rh conflict between mother and fetus, antiphospholipid syndrome, pregnancy with two or more fetuses.

Services

Patients are consulted by obstetricians-gynecologists, pediatricians, pediatric gynecologists, neurologists, neonatologists, endocrinologists, psychotherapists, and andrologists. The Consultation has a functional diagnostics room. The gynecological department provides treatment for familial and hereditary infertility, endometriosis, and performs IVF procedures. The operative gynecology of this institute in most operations uses the most gentle method of surgical intervention - laparoscopic. There is a “one-day hospital”, where patients stay for a day, during which they undergo all the diagnostic measures that are necessary. They prepare for childbirth and treat a wide variety of pathologies and diseases. The birth is carried out by an obstetric team of 4 specialists. Partner births are encouraged. In the first minutes after birth, the baby is placed on the mother’s stomach and applied to the breast. The maternity rooms are individual and equipped with the latest medical technology. The maternity hospital has intensive care units for babies and adults, where they can provide emergency care in severe cases. Caesarean sections at the Institute are performed according to indications; the percentage of this type of obstetric care in the maternity hospital is high, which is explained by the specifics of the Institute’s work. Paid services are provided for patients from other regions of the country and for everyone.

Additionally

There are 2-4-6 patients in the wards of the pathology departments. Meals in the hospital are five times a day. During the warm season, patients can walk in the courtyard of the maternity hospital. In the postpartum department, patients with babies are placed in wards with 2-3 beds. According to indications, the child may be placed in the children's department, where the mother can visit him at any time. Maternity hospital specialists welcome a free schedule for feeding children. Everyone writes about shabby walls and a shower in the basement and other living conditions....seriously?! Oh, they don’t come to this place for the gloss....far from it for the gloss. Research Institute OMM: description, activities

The Ural Research Institute of Maternity and Infancy Protection was created on the initiative of employees of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The clinic is one of the oldest institutions in the country that provides care during pregnancy and childbirth. Five years ago, this medical institution turned one hundred and thirty-five years old.

At the beginning of its existence, it was a small maternity hospital. Over the entire long period of development, the clinic has significantly improved the methods and means of providing care to pregnant women, women in labor and newborns. The main goals of the research institute continue to be the application of modern scientific achievements in the process of providing medical care and the preservation of the health of married couples and future generations.

Located at: Sverdlovsk region, Ekaterinburg, house No. 1 on Repina street. The organizational department of the research institute works from Monday to Thursday from eight thirty in the morning to five fifteen in the evening, Friday is a shortened day (until 16:15).

History of the development of the clinic

The date of creation of the OMM Research Institute is April 10, 1877. The organization was the first maternity hospital in Yekaterinburg. It was founded and existed at the expense of private entrepreneurs. In 1879, the doctor V. M. Onufriev became the manager of this institution. He organizes training sessions for midwives. A few years later, Onufriev creates a unit at the maternity hospital for the treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the hospital expanded, diagnostic departments and laboratories for research in the field of bacteriology appeared, and scientific work was carried out. In addition, the maternity hospital begins to treat tumors of the female reproductive organs using X-rays, and provides medical care to children born ahead of schedule. After the events of 1917, the research institute became the property of the state, and in 1930 it received its name - the Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Infancy.

By the forties of the 20th century, the Research Institute of OMM in Yekaterinburg was expanding, various types of premises for laboratory research, as well as new divisions were being created. During the war years, the clinic did not stop conducting research activities. Already in the 70s, the research institute received a license for additional training of specialists in the field of medicine, as well as the publication of specialized literature.

In Vitro Fertilization

IVF has been carried out at the Research Institute of OMM in Yekaterinburg for several years. According to the clinic’s doctors, the fears of many women and couples about the procedure are in vain.
