Psalter 26 50 90. Special prayer assistance

For those of our warriors and defenders who believe in the Life-Giving Trinity, but are unfamiliar with the rule of Schema-Archimandrite Vitaly, read in danger. This is especially useful for militias - soldiers of the army of New Russia, who believed in Christ already in the war. And for everyone who needs it.

Rule of Schema-Archimandrite Vitaly, read in danger

Schema-Archimandrite Vitaly (in the world Vitaly Nikolaevich Sidorenko) during the hostilities in Tbilisi that accompanied the political coup at the turn of the 1990s, prayerfully participated in the tragic events and gave his spiritual children a special rule for protection from dangers.

He advised in the morning, leaving the house, to read Psalms 26, 50 and 90, and between them, at the beginning and at the end, one prayer, “Rejoice, Virgin Mary.”

He added, as his spiritual children remember:

“After this, if a shell or bullet explodes nearby, or a fire occurs, no trouble will touch you.”

“Read Psalms 26, 50, 90, and the Lord and Mother of God will bestow Their mercies.”

Those who prayed testify thus: “Whoever did this was saved with his entire household.”

Psalm 26

The Lord is my enlightenment and my Savior, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Protector of my life, from whom shall I fear? Sometimes those who are angry approach me and destroy my flesh; those who insult me and defeat me become exhausted and fall. Even if a regiment turns against me, my heart will not fear; Even if he fights against me, I will trust in Him. I have asked one thing from the Lord, and this I will require: that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, that I may behold the beauty of the Lord, and that I may visit His holy temple. For He hid me in His village in the day of my evil, for He covered me in the secret of His village, and lifted me up on a stone. And now, behold, you have lifted up my head against my enemies: the sacrifice of praise and exclamation was lost and devoured in His village; I will sing and make praise to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, my voice in which I cried, have mercy on me and hear me. My heart says to you: I will seek the Lord, I will seek your face, O Lord, I will seek your face. Do not turn Your face away from me and do not turn aside in anger from Your servant: be my helper, do not reject me and do not forsake me. God, my Savior. As my father and mother abandoned me. The Lord will accept me. Give me the law, O Lord, in Thy way, and guide me on the right path for my enemy’s sake. Do not betray me into the souls of those who suffer from my cold: for I have stood up as a witness of unrighteousness, and lied untruthfully to myself. I believe in seeing the good of the Lord on the land of the living. Be patient with the Lord, be of good courage, and let your heart be strong, and be patient with the Lord.

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, O Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You; Blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: whom shall I fear?
2 If evildoers, my adversaries, and my enemies come against me to devour my flesh, they themselves will stumble and fall.
3 If an army takes up arms against me, my heart will not fear; if war arises against me, then I will hope.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, this only do I seek, that I may abide in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to contemplate the beauty of the Lord, and to visit His [holy] temple,
5 For He would have hidden me in His tabernacle in the day of trouble, He would have hidden me in the secret place of His habitation, He would have lifted me up on the rock.
6 Then my head would be lifted up above the enemies around me; and I would offer sacrifices of praise in His tabernacle, and begin to sing and make melody before the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, my voice with which I cry, have mercy on me and give ear to me.
8 My heart says from You: “Seek My face”; and I will seek Your face, O Lord.
9 Hide not Your face from me; do not reject Your servant in anger. You were my helper; do not reject me and do not forsake me, O God, my Savior!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me, O Lord, your way, and guide me in the path of righteousness, for the sake of my enemies;
12 Do not deliver me up to the mercy of my enemies, for false witnesses have risen up against me and breathe malice.
13 But I believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Trust in the Lord, be of good courage, and let your heart be strengthened, and trust in the Lord.

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your mercies, cleanse my iniquity. Above all, wash me from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take away my sin before me. I have sinned against You alone and have done evil before You, so that You may be justified in Your words and triumph over the judgment of You. Behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and my mother gave birth to me in sins. Behold, you have loved the truth; You have revealed to me the unknown and secret wisdom of Yours. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. My hearing brings joy and joy; humble bones will rejoice. Turn Your face away from my sins and cleanse all my iniquities. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit in my womb. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit away from me. Reward me with the joy of Your salvation and strengthen me with the Lord’s Spirit. I will teach the wicked Your way, and the wicked will turn to You. Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation; My tongue will rejoice in Your righteousness. Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise. As if you had desired sacrifices, you would have given them: you do not favor burnt offerings. The sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God will not despise a broken and humble heart. Bless Zion, O Lord, with Your favor, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then favor the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering; Then they will place the bullock on Your altar.

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, O Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You; Blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

1 To the director of the choir. Psalm of David,
2 When Nathan the prophet came to him, after David had gone in to Bathsheba.
3 Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your compassions blot out my iniquities.
4 Wash me often from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin,
5 For I acknowledge my iniquities, and my sin is always before me.
6 You, You alone, have I sinned and done evil in Your sight, so that You are righteous in Your judgment and pure in Your judgment.
7 Behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and my mother bore me in sin.
8 Behold, You have loved the truth in your heart and have shown me [Your] wisdom within me.
9 Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
10 Let me hear joy and gladness, and the bones broken by You will rejoice.
11 Turn away Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.
12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
13 Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
14 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and strengthen me with the sovereign Spirit.
15 I will teach the wicked your ways, and the wicked will turn to you.
16 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation, and my tongue will praise Your righteousness.
17 Lord! Open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise:
18 For You do not desire sacrifice, I would give it; You do not favor burnt offerings.
19 The sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; You will not despise a contrite and humble heart, O God.
20 Do good, [Lord], according to Your good pleasure, Zion; build up the walls of Jerusalem:
21 Then the sacrifices of righteousness, the wave offerings, and the burnt offerings will be acceptable to You; Then they will place bullocks on Your altar.

Psalm 90

Living in the help of the Most High, he will settle in the shelter of the Heavenly God. Says the Lord: Thou art my Protector and my Refuge, my God, and I trust in Him. For He will deliver you from the snare of the trap and from rebellious words, His blanket will cover you, and under His wing you hope: His truth will surround you with weapons. Do not be afraid from the fear of the night, from the arrow that flies during the day, from the thing that passes in the darkness, from the cloak, and from the demon of the midday. Thousands will fall from your country, and darkness will fall at your right hand, but it will not come close to you, otherwise look at your eyes and see the reward of sinners. For You, O Lord, are my hope, You have made the Most High your refuge. Evil will not come to you, and wound will not approach your body, as His Angel commanded you to keep you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their arms, but when you dash your foot against a stone, you will step on an asp and a basilisk and cross a lion and a serpent. For I have trusted in Me, and I will deliver, and I will cover, and because I have known My name. He will call to Me, and I will hear him: I am with him in sorrow, I will take him away and glorify him, I will fulfill him with the length of days and show him My salvation.

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, O Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You; Blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

Psalm 90
[David's song of praise.]

1 He who dwells under the shelter of the Most High rests in the shadow of the Almighty,
2 He says to the Lord: “My refuge and my defense, my God in whom I trust!”
3 He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, from the destructive plague,
4 He will overshadow you with His feathers, and under His wings you will be safe; shield and fence - His truth.
5 You will not fear the terrors of the night, nor the arrows that fly by day,
6 The plague that walks in darkness, the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but will not come close to you:
8 Only you will look with your eyes and see the retribution of the wicked.
9 For you have said: “The Lord is my hope”; You have chosen the Most High as your refuge;
10 No evil will befall you, and no plague will come near your dwelling;
11 For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways:
12 They will carry you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone;
13 You will tread on the asp and basilisk; You will trample on the lion and the dragon.
14 “Because he has loved Me, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he has known My name.
15 He will call to Me, and I will hear him; I am with him in sorrow; I will deliver him and glorify him,
16 I will satisfy him with long days, and show him My salvation."

God bless you all! And may He help us overcome our enemies!

“Well, I’ll tell you what! You once told me that the enemy is shooting his arrows at you. Don’t be afraid! None of them will touch you, don’t be afraid of any rubbish: rubbish will remain rubbish. Just take my advice for rule, obey: read in the morning and evening before your prayer both of these psalms - the 26th and the 90th, and before them the great Arkhangelsk joy - “Virgin Mother of God, rejoice, if you do this, neither fire will take you, nor water.” will sink...
At these words, the elder stood up from his chair, hugged me and with some special strength, in a rolling ringing voice, did not even say, but shouted:
- I’ll tell you more: it won’t blow up with a bomb! I kissed the old man’s hand that hugged me. And he again, pressing himself close to my ear, again loudly exclaimed:
- And the bomb won’t explode! And don’t pay any attention to any rubbish: what can rubbish do to you? This is what I wanted to talk to you about. Well, now go with the Lord!..”

Prayer to Archangel Barachiel

Oh, great archangel of God, Archangel Barachiel! Standing before the Throne of God and from there bringing the blessing of God into the homes of God’s faithful servants, ask the Lord God for mercy and blessings on our homes, may the Lord God bless us from Zion and from His Holy Mountain and increase the abundance of the fruits of the earth and give us health and salvation and good haste in everything, victory and victory against our enemies and will preserve us for many years, so that with one accord we glorify God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer for blessing a home

It is believed that Vitaly Sidorenko’s prayer for the blessing of a house carries special power. It was left in prayerful memory to Mother N, who was his spiritual child for 30 years. The prayer was read during disasters, and its miraculous power is confirmed by the fact that during the bombing neither mother’s house nor the people in it were harmed, although everything around was destroyed.

May Almighty Merciful God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit bless us and protect us. ABOUT! Sweetest Jesus Christ, Almighty King of Heaven and earth, Son of David, Jesus of Nazareth, crucified on the Cross for our sake, have mercy on this house, protect those who live in it.

May Your blessing from the Lord accompany them everywhere; may the Holy Spirit sanctify their thoughts and hearts: His omnipotence is everywhere, in every place: everything that is in this house, who enters them and who leaves them, may the Most Holy Trinity bless and protect from all evil, so that nothing unclean comes close to them. Let the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with the nine orders of Angels be in this house and give it its peace. May the Most Holy Virgin Mary cover you with her maternal veil; May the Holy Apostles protect his well-being and may the Holy Evangelists establish and strengthen him. Let the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ be his roof; let the nails of our Lord Jesus Christ be his protection; let the crown of our Lord Jesus Christ be his covering.

Prayer for saving the house. This prayer was read several times a day during bombings, sieges, and searches. During the war between Georgia and Abkhazia. Most Holy Virgin Mary, Holy Righteous Joseph and all the saints, Guardian Angels, beg the Lord Jesus Christ, the One of the Holy Trinity, to save this house from thunder, lightning, fire, hail, flood, from the attacks of evil people, need, unbelief, heresy ( war) and every misfortune that threatens the soul and body: in which may God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit help us.

Grant, O Lord, that on this day (or this night) we may be preserved without sin.

Lord have mercy (3 times).

May Thy mercy be upon us, O Lord, as we trust in Thee, O Lord. Let us trust in Thee, and let us not be ashamed forever, Amen.

(Girls, sorry to anyone who is in the wrong place)

Prayer Psalms 50 and 90

I will bless the Lord at all times; I will make His praise in my mouth. My soul will glory in the Lord, that the meek may hear and rejoice. Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. Seek the Lord and hear me, and deliver me from all my sorrows. Come to Him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be ashamed. This beggar cried out, and the Lord heard and saved him from all his sorrows. The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear Him and deliver them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Nan. Fear the Lord, all your saints, for there is no hardship for those who fear Him. Those who are poor and hungry are rich, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good. Come, children, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is a person who loves life and sees good things? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking flattery. Avoid evil and do good. Seek peace, and get married, and... The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are upon their prayer. The face of the Lord, against those who do evil, will consume their memory from the earth. The righteous cried out, and the Lord heard them, and delivered them from all their sorrows. The Lord is near to those who are broken in heart, and will save those who are humble in spirit. Many are the sorrows of the righteous, and the Lord will deliver me from all of them. The Lord protects all their bones, not one of them will be broken. The death of sinners is cruel, and those who hate the righteous will sin. The Lord will deliver the souls of His servant, and all who trust in Him will not sin.

Behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and my mother gave birth to me in sins.

If you doubt your safety, read the ninetieth psalm.

Living in the help of the Most High, he will settle in the shelter of the Heavenly God. Says the Lord: Thou art my Protector and my Refuge, my God, and I trust in Him. Yako Toy will deliver you from the snare of the trap, and from rebellious words. His cloak will overshadow you and you will hope under His wing: His truth will surround you with weapons. Do not be afraid from the fear of the night, from the arrow flying in the days. From things that pass away in the darkness, from clots and the midday demon. Thousands will fall from your country, and darkness will fall at your right hand; he won't come close to you. Look at your eyes and see the reward of sinners. For You, O Lord, are my hope. You have made the Most High your refuge. Evil will not come to you. And the wound will not come close to your body. As His Angel commanded you, keep you in all your ways. They will take you in their arms, but not when you dash your foot against a stone. Tread on the asp and the basilisk, and cross the lion and the serpent. For I have trusted in Me, and I will deliver; I will cover, and because I have known My name. He will call to Me, and I will hear him: I am with him in sorrow, I will destroy him, and I will glorify him. I will fill him with long days, and I will show him My salvation.

PSALMS:50, 139,90. Removing damage, evil eye.

Wash me often from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin, for I am aware of my iniquities, and my sin is always before me.

You, You alone, have I sinned and done evil in Your sight, so that You are righteous in Your judgment and pure in Your judgment.

Behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and my mother gave birth to me in sin.

Behold, You have loved the truth in your heart and have shown me [Your] wisdom within me.

Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Let me hear joy and gladness, and the bones broken by You will rejoice.

Turn Your face away from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation and strengthen me with the sovereign Spirit.

I will teach the wicked Your ways, and the wicked will turn to You.

Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation, and my tongue will praise Your righteousness.

God! Open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise: for You do not desire sacrifice, I would give it; You do not favor burnt offerings.

A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; You will not despise a contrite and humble heart, O God.

Bless, [Lord,] Zion according to Your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem: then the sacrifices of righteousness, the heave-hoist, and the burnt offering will be acceptable to You; Then they will place bullocks on Your altar.

Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked, keep me from the oppressors who are planning to make my steps slip.

The proud hid snares and snares for me, they spread a net along the road, they laid out snares for me.

I said to the Lord: You are my God; Hear, O Lord, the voice of my prayers!

Lord, Lord, the power of my salvation! You covered my head on the day of battle.

Do not, Lord, give what the wicked wants; do not give success to his evil plan: they will become proud.

May the evil of their own lips cover the heads of those around me.

Let burning coals fall on them; let them be thrown into the fire, into the abyss, so that they will not rise up.

A man of evil tongue will not be established on earth; evil will drag the oppressor to destruction.

I know that the Lord will bring justice to the oppressed and justice to the poor.

So! The righteous will praise Your name; the blameless will dwell before You.

He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, from the destructive plague,

He will cover you with His feathers, and you will be safe under His wings; shield and fence - His truth.

You will not be afraid of the terrors in the night, the arrow that flies by day, the plague that stalks in the darkness, the plague that devastates at noon.

A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but will not come close to you:

only you will look with your eyes and see the retribution of the wicked.

For you said: “The Lord is my hope”; You have chosen the Most High as your refuge;

no evil will befall you, and no plague will come near your dwelling; for He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways:

they will carry you in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone;

you will step on the asp and basilisk; You will trample on the lion and the dragon.

He will call to Me, and I will hear him; I am with him in sorrow; I will deliver him and glorify him, I will satisfy him with long days, and I will show him My salvation.”

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, O Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You; Blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

Spiritual Path and Brief Guide – Psalms 50 and 90

Shaktipad» 04 Feb 2010, 09:51

Psalm 90 is used as a prayer in a dangerous situation and gives a chance to transform fear with faith and hope in God. Written on behalf of three persons: the author-mentor, the student turning to God and God Himself, this may make it difficult to understand, but it gives the text amazing dynamics:

He who lives in the help of the Most High will dwell in the shelter of God, says the Lord; You are my protector and my refuge, my God, and I trust in him. As if he will deliver you from the snare of traps and from rebellious words; His blanket will cover you, and you will hope under his wing; His truth will use you as a weapon. Do not be afraid from the fear of the night, from the arrow flying during the day, from the thing passing in the darkness, from the attack and the demon of the midday. Thousands will fall from your country, and darkness will fall at your right hand, but it will not come close to you; Look at your eyes and see the reward of sinners. For you, O Lord, are my hope; The Most High has made you your refuge. No evil will come to you, and no wound will come near your body; as his angel commanded you, keep you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their arms, but not when you dash your foot against a stone; tread on the asp and the basilisk, and cross the lion and the serpent. For I have trusted, and I will deliver; I will cover and because I know my name. He will call to me, and I will hear him; I am with him in sorrow, I will destroy him and glorify him; with the length of days I will fulfill him and show him my salvation.

Are we living or existing? Where is life, and where is decay, and how to achieve eternal life? It’s very simple - surrender to the will of God, trust him, open up to his help, and then existence will become life, but we are talking about “spiritual” existence in the first place. And “being established in the shelter of the heavenly God” is precisely the main task of those who have decided to find life in the Spirit, and not just the existence of the body. To do this, you need to rebuild your attitude towards yourself and the world, understand your role both in your life and in the lives of others, change the motives and priorities of your life.

And we turn to the Lord, even if we have not yet reached the state of “being settled in the blood of the heavenly God,” but through prayer we form the intention and understanding: God, the connection with God, with his will and his providence, is refuge for us and is intercession for us and our hope. In other words, faith in God and the role he will play in our lives if we allow him to enter our lives. But this is also humility, surrendering to the mercy of God and ourselves and what we do and what is done to us in this world. The prayer goes on to describe those situations in which faith in God and the ability to rely on God will change that very attitude and allow you to learn life lessons in a completely different way, for example:

“The net of the catcher” - the temptations and traps of this world, tests of fame, money, attachments to material things, tests of what is more important for us - security of existence and coziness with comfort, or life in the shelter of the heavenly God? Which cannot be measured by any money or earthly values. Which simply does not exist for those who measure everything by earthly values. “The word is rebellious” – words that cause doubt and disbelief, and in a broader context – words, or more precisely, communication, that lead to the destruction of the state of “goodness” due to negative emotions and reactions. "Shrouds" is often translated as "feathers", I'm not sure about the hidden meaning of feathers specifically, but sheltering under wings and feathers in hope is a very important point. We may not fully understand the essence of events in our lives - our mind and consciousness simply do not see the causes and their consequences deeply enough even in our lives, and what can we say about other people. And this kind of conversion is again strengthening ourselves in faith, faith in the Divine role and providence in our lives and that everything is not accidental or meaningless, but even if we do not understand this, by faith we continue to live everything that has befallen us with dignity and now in the role of co-creators of their lives. There is another meaning here - with faith in God and affirmation of ourselves in life in God, we change the way we interact with the world, we leave from under the law of "chaos" to the Divine law (knowledge of His Name) - and then our lessons become more intense, but in they have more meaning and benefit. But no one promises homespun happiness and a serene life - no, we are talking about the ability to maintain serenity in faith in Him even in the midst of the most turbulent storm. “His truth will surround you with weapons” is one of the most powerful statements in the psalms in general (other translations give the more literal “shield and defense of His truth”). Trust in the purity of your faith and the sincerity of your appeal to God, honesty and sincerity before your conscience (and therefore before God) in your sins and iniquity is the best defense. Not sinlessness - because we are sinners due to the fact of being born in sin, not “righteousness” and “virtue”, but namely sincerity in faith and honesty before the face of the Lord. But at the same time, these words have great practical significance and change the way we act in difficult situations: can we give God the solution to the “problem”, wholeheartedly accept the lessons and experiences that it brings and not try to do God’s work for God, “resolving” the situation in the outside world, but relying entirely on the will of God and accepting any outcome as His will? We lived like this before the Fall, by the way - and then we forgot how.

Night fear is the fears and emotions hidden in our unconscious, the fear of the unknown. An arrow in the days is a purposeful action against us, from misunderstandings hidden in darkness, attacks from demons in broad daylight. From the fear that all this can cause in us, God will become a refuge - if we ourselves allow this to happen, making our faith stronger than our own fear.

I like to talk about statistics and that there are rules and there are exceptions, and it is important to know how to become the rule and how to become the exception. How to escape if the world is ending around you? How to make sure that the darkness, which engulfs everyone and everything and threatens to engulf us too, cannot even come close? I am inclined to interpret the words about “your eyes are watching” as the ability to see the essence of what is happening through the eyes of God - and to understand that sinners, thousands and millions of whom perish, only receive their reward, but a sincere and honest believer will be saved.

But he who trusts in the Lord has chosen the Most High as his refuge, and now God answers and promises:

therefore, nothing bad can happen to him (if there is no doubt or insincerity in faith, of course), because God commands his angels to protect along the way those who have made this choice and the angels:

so that the believer in God will not stumble through any evil spirits and will pass without harm to himself victoriously, only. conditions for this to happen, read above. And yet - these do not necessarily have to be some unrealistic feats in the Spirit, even the ability not to catch damage from a neighbor-witch is already “treading on an asp and a basilisk.” I am sure that the choice of characters for “trampling on” is not accidental and is deeply metaphorical, so far I can only quickly say what they mean to me: the basilisk is “killing” our soul, turning it into stone (not someone, but a metaphor for choice and relationships), lion - aggression and the strength of animal instincts, serpent - lies and deceit. It is impossible to say exactly what the author was pointing at, but if you look at these metaphors intuitively, they will become clear to everyone exactly as they need.

As you trust in me, I will deliver you and cover you, I will protect you as much as you know my name (in this context, the essence of God)

whoever turns to me, I hear him and not only will I be with him in difficult moments, but I will glorify him for his efforts and sufferings, I will give him long days and show him my salvation. Again and again - turning to God, trust in God, faith in God is the main thing, but our sins and lawlessness are endless, because the nature of this world is such and we must not fight (although we still need to), but go to God through honesty before our conscience (which is what our sins test), sincerity and the strength of the heart’s urge to the Creator.

In other words, do we have the courage to achieve a state of complete devotion to God, hope in Him and His protection, faith in Him, to achieve a state so comprehensive that God becomes our friend and protector according to our faith.

9 And he led Him to Jerusalem, and placed Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written: He will command His angels concerning You, to keep You; 11 And they will bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. 12 Jesus answered and said to him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 13 And having finished all the temptation, the devil departed from Him for the time being. (http://ru.wikisource.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Luke#4:9)

And, if we develop this further, then for a person who relies on God in his affairs, the degree of responsibility remains the same or even increases, this is another, “esoteric” meaning of the statement “Trust in God, but don’t make a mistake yourself.”
