After the wire is secured, wrap it with the remaining fabric or fur. Sew the borders of the material together so that the inside of the ponytail is not visible. Sew the edges to the bottom of the outfit.

Ideas for hats and masks

If you still have time to prepare more complex details of the image, you can knit a headdress. Use two or three shades of thread to make your dog’s hat brighter and more elegant.

The dog's muzzle can also be made in the form of a mask. The easiest way to make masks is with drawn eyes and a nose: take a thick sheet of paper or cardboard and cut out the boundaries of the ears and cheeks. After this, decorate the workpiece and secure it with an elastic band.

Flat masks can be printed using ready-made templates. Cut them along the edges, make holes for the eyes - and you can put them on your head. Choose mask options with images of friendly animals.

Another option is to sew the features of the dog’s muzzle and ears onto a ready-made knitted hat. This idea will require a minimum of time. If you have more, then you can knit a hat, and at the same time sew the ears, which need to be stuffed with padding polyester, on one side and the other of the headdress.

How to make a dog mask?

This work uses a minimum of materials. Take:

cardboard plate;
sheet of paper;
scissors;
glue stick;
cord;
mask;
scotch;
marker.

On a plate turned upside down, draw blanks for the dog’s eyes.

Fold a sheet of paper in half and cut along the resulting curved line to the middle.

Unfold the paper sheet, place the two cut pieces on top of each other and secure them with tape.

Fold the edge of the narrow piece inward.

Make cuts along the edges of the workpiece every 4 cm. Lubricate the resulting petals with glue and attach them to a cardboard plate.

The lower cuts should be longer, they will need to be raised up and fixed with glue. Then you will give the dog's nose the desired shape.

To make the resulting blank more like a dog mask, tear up pieces of paper of different sizes and glue them to the face. Fold a piece of paper in half and cut out an ear that is rounded at the bottom. Glue it on one side to the mask.

Make the second ear in the same way. Using the same plan, cut out the tongue. Glue these pieces in place. If necessary, paint the mask, then when the surface is dry, paint the missing strokes.

The mask will hold well if you attach a thin elastic band or cord on both sides.

You can also make a flat dog mask. To do this, first redraw this template onto a sheet of beige cardboard. From brown, cut out the ears, part of the muzzle and a fragment located near the eye. Glue them in place. Use black to make the nose and inner parts of the ears.

All that remains is to complete the individual strokes with a black marker, make slits on both sides of the mask and thread an elastic band here.

Felt also makes a wonderful dog mask. To do this, take the material of the desired color and cut out two identical bases from it. Sew the fragments near the eyes and nose on top. Also separate the ears with a stitch and stitch along the edge. All that remains is to sew on the strings and it’s time to put on the mask.

It can also be made from polymer clay. This mask turns out to be very realistic.

This will require a preparatory stage. It consists of first making a papier-mâché base for the mask and letting it dry well. When this happens, roll out the clay into a thin layer and attach it to the papier-mâché base.

If the clay breaks somewhere, simply fill up the resulting holes with pieces of clay. Using a toothpick, add texture to the mask so that the voluminous fur is visible.

Color your work with shadows, special clay powder or dry pastels. Use an awl to make holes on the sides. If it is a self-hardening clay, leave it to dry thoroughly. If this requires baking in the oven, place the mask there. Then remove and cool.

If you need to add color at this stage, use acrylic paints. When they are dry, paint the product with varnish. An elastic band is threaded through the holes, which will help you put the mask on your head and secure it.

If you do not want to cover your face with such elements, then you can draw a muzzle on the face of a child or adult.

How to do face painting of a dog's face?

Look at what requirements must be presented to him. Face painting should:

dry quickly;
be hypoallergenic;
be water-based rather than oil-based;
quite easy to wash off.

Here's what you'll need to create face painting:
